Bee Bridge recently burned by rioters in Nimba has been completed.

SANNIQUELLIE-Nimba County- The rehabilitation of the Bee Bridge recently burned by rioters in Nimba has been completed. The rehabilitation work was done exclusively at the cost of Arcelor Mital Liberia and under the supervision of the Development Department of the County Administration of Nimba County.

 

Speaking during the reopening of the bridge to regular traffic, Nimba County Assistant Superintendent for Development, Honorable TeekoTozayYorlay thanked the AML road project crew under the leadership of Mr. Raymond Mambor and workers of the Development Department for their collective effort that has led to the repair of the 45ft bridge burnt recently.

 

The cost of the repair works was exclusively shouldered by AML based on very successful discussion held between the County Administration of Nimba under the able and farsighted leadership of Superintendent Fong Gami Zuagele and the Operations Manager of AML.

 

Speaking further, Superintendent Yorlay while calling on his people to avoid violence and seek constructive engagement reassures all of his citizens in the ArcelorMittal Liberia Concession Area that the County Administration remains committed to working with them and the company to ensure that the legitimate concerns of his people are not only listened to but also addressed. He said with the county administration’s willingness and commitment to have huge opportunity to dialogue on issues, he feels it is now time for the citizens to constructively engage the county administrators and work with them to ensure that their issues are not only elevated to the appropriate level, but to also ensure that they are addressed.
