Atlanta, USA:The Deputy Minister of Urban Affairs at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Honorable Paulita C.C Wie has been awarded the 2018 Phenomenal Woman of Worth Award in Atlanta, Georgia.

A dispatch from the United States of America says the hardworking Deputy Minister received the honor during the African Women in Leadership Diaspora Conference organized by the African Women in Leadership Organization (AWLO) and hosted by Senator Donzella James of the State of Georgia.

AWLO is a not-for-profit organization that brings together female executives, professionals and leaders of African Descent to further advance the leadership status of women in the continent of Africa, by creating an empowering platform and harnessing the synergies of alliance.

According to the dispatch, AWLO presented the Award to Deputy Minister Wie in recognition of her tireless effort in showcasing and supporting creativity, leadership and development of women in Liberia.

Receiving the Award, Minister Wie offered her sincerest appreciation to the organizers, the CEO and Founder of AWLO, the President of the AWLO, Senator Donzella James and all of those who traveled miles to grace the occasion.

“I want to give God the glory for his divine grace and favor. I’m gladly humbled to be receiving this award,” Minister Wie emotionally said. She appreciated her mom, Madam Annie S. David Teewleh for her continued support and dedicated the award to the hard working and brilliant women of Liberia.

“I dedicate this award to those women who stood under the rain and sun to pray for Liberia to be peaceful. To those women who sell in the markets just to have money to feed their homes and pay their children’s school fees. And to those women who see society’s challenges as their stress in making the difference in Liberia,” she added.

She thanked the women of Africa and African-Americans for being positive and encouraged them to continue fighting for social justice, peace, reconciliation and economic empowerment. The Minister also extended greetings from the African Women Leadership Organization (Liberia Chapter) and assured the participants that the Liberia Chapter will keep working in the interest of women.

Minister Wie further extended her deepest gratitude to President George M. Weah of Liberia for being a ‘He for She’ by empowering women into key leadership roles and having a woman Vice President who is also the Board Chair of AWLO Liberia Chapter.
