Deputy Minister Edward K. Mulbah Presents Letters of Appointment to Chiefs in Grand Gedeh County

Deputy Minister Hon. Edward K. Mulbah, on behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officially presented letters of appointment to several local chiefs during a ceremony held on September 4, 2025. Following the presentation, the chiefs were formally inducted into office.

In his remarks, Minister Mulbah urged the newly appointed local leaders to use their authority and influence to positively impact their respective communities. He emphasized the importance of peace, reconciliation, and the need for boundary harmonization among towns and villages. He further encouraged collaboration and unity as tools for sustained development.

Also speaking at the event, Superintendent Mike T. Swengbe congratulated the chiefs, noting that they are experienced and well-qualified for their roles. He called on them to do their utmost in fulfilling their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

Responding on behalf of the inductees, Paramount Chief James Pah Sayee expressed deep gratitude for the confidence reposed in them by the government. He praised the Boakai-led administration for its continued efforts in improving infrastructure, particularly the maintenance of roads in the southeastern region. He also reaffirmed the local leadership’s commitment and support to the government’s development agenda.
