MIA Hosts Second World Bank Support Mission Under GREAT Project
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has hosted the second Implementation Support Mission of the World Bank under the Governance Reform and Accountability Transformation (GREAT) Project. The mission, held under Strategic Objective 1.2, focuses on improving service delivery by strengthening the capacity of County Service Centers (CSCs).
The visit was intended to review progress made by the Ministry in implementing the project, while at the same time enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Government of Liberia and the World Bank in ensuring its smooth execution.
As Board Chairman of the National Identification Registry (NIR), Internal Affairs Minister Nyumalin underscored the importance of ensuring that all agreements reached under the GREAT Project, particularly those related to revamping ICT infrastructure, are of the highest quality, durable, and reflect value for money.
For their part, representatives of the World Bank Task Team expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the mission and reaffirmed their commitment to stronger collaboration with the Liberian Government. They emphasized that continued dialogue and joint efforts are critical to advancing service delivery reforms and improving the overall impact of the GREAT Project.
