Joint Technical Meeting Held Ahead of Fiscal Audit for Payroll in 15 Counties

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Civil Services Agency (CSA) convened a joint technical meeting to prepare for an upcoming fiscal audit of the payroll system across the 15 counties. This collaborative effort aims to separate employment services from payroll management, ensuring a more efficient and accountable public service structure.

The meeting brought together a dedicated team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including Minister Edward K. Mulbah, Deputy Minister for Research Development Planning, the Comptroller, Internal Auditor, Human Resource Director, and various analysts from the Division. They were joined by two technical team members from the Civil Services Agency, all focused on developing a comprehensive plan for executing the audit.

One of the key objectives of this meeting was to establish a credentials audit, which is set to commence as soon as possible. This audit will play a crucial role in verifying the legitimacy of employment records and ensuring that all personnel on the payroll are duly qualified and accounted for.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the CSA underscores a commitment to uphold the highest standards of integrity within the public sector. By conducting this fiscal audit, the agencies aim to promote responsible governance and foster public trust.
