Liberia Marketing Association receives donation to fight Coronavirus

Monrovia, March 24,2020: As Liberia battles the Corona virus disease, a partner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Cities Alliance, on Monday made a huge donation of assorted sanitary materials to the Liberia Marketing Association(LMA).
 
The donation valued at US$10,000, includes 75-set hand-washing materials such as barrels, detergents and buckets, among others will be distributed across markets in Monrovia and surroundings.
 
Cities Alliance’s Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst said the donation wa the entity’s way of contributing to preventing the spread of the disease especially in market places.
 
The presentation wasade to the LMA at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where Minister Varney A. Sirleaf, receiving the items, thanked Cities Alliance for the ‘timely’ intervention and stated the donation was cardinal for the LMA, as it is among few institutions that is still open.
 
Minister Sirleaf then presented the entire consignment to Acting President of the LMA, Bendu S. Kamara, who was present for the donation for immediate distribution.
 
Receiving the items, Madam Kamara laudedm Cities Alliance and pledged the items will be distributed properly.
 
The after the brief ceremony, the LMA led the vehicle along with Cities Alliance Team to the headquarters of the LMA where the materials were delivered.
 
Cities Alliance works closely with the MIA through the Department of Urban Affairs in urban planning activities.
